COSHOCTON - Robert E. Weaver, 71, of Coshocton, died Monday at his home.
He was born June 3, 1936, in Cleveland to the late Victor J. and Thelma (Johnston) Weaver.
He graduated from New London High School in 1954 and attended Mt. Union College and Kent State University. He served on active duty in the Army from 1957 to 1963. He also retired from Smurfit Stone Container in July 2001. He married Shirley (Arnold) Weaver on Feb. 18, 1971. He was also a member of the Presbyterian Church of Coshocton.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Curt Arnold of Cleveland; daughters and sons-in-law, Dawn and Lance Fulks of Coshocton and Wendy and Roy Streeter Jr. of Moyock, NC; two grandsons and four granddaughters.
A memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Custer Chapel at the Presbyterian Church of Coshocton. The Rev. Jonathan Carlisle and Rev. Robert Millspaugh will officiate. The family will receive friends in the church parlor following the service. Burial will follow at a later date in South Lawn Cemetery.
