APACHE JUNCTION, Ariz. Richard Dean Hainline Sr., 71, of this Arizona community, died Tuesday.

He was born Sept. 29, 1935 in Hartland, Ohio. He was raised in Norwalk, Ohio and moved to Apache Junction in 2000.

He retired from Tenneco in Milan, Ohio after 29 years for medical reasons. He was a member of The Eagles 711 for many years and a member of East Mesa Moose Lodge 2082.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Helen M. (Uther) Hainline; sons, Richard Jr. of Sandusky, Ohio, William of Norwalk, Ohio, Douglas of Maricopa, Kevin of Monks Corner, S.C. and David of Norwalk, Ohio; a daughter, Jennifer Johnson of Mesa; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Harris of Littleton, Colo.; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and one aunt.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Mary Hainline; and brothers, Paul and Gene.

At the request of the deceased, he was to be cremated.
