WILLARD Raymond C. Bauman, 71, of Willard, died unexpectedly Tuesday at Willard Mercy Hospital.

He was born Oct. 14, 1935 in Monroeville to the late Alfred V. and Leona (Hafner) Bauman and had been a resident of the Havana area all of his life.

He was a former member of St. Sebastian Church in Bismark. He attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Plymouth. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in Attica and Ohio Farm Bureau. He was a youth minister and was a CCD Teacher at St. Sebastian Catholic Church. He did construction work and enjoyed working on the family farm.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Eberly) Bauman, whom he married in 1955; daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Bob Breyman of Willard, Janet and Rocky Clark of Willard and Jacalyn and Shawn Houck of Monroeville; sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Lynne Bauman of Roswell, Ga., Randy and Janine Bauman of Monroeville, Jerry Bauman of Havana, Dan and Shannon Bauman of Havana and Don and Jackie Bauman of Westerville; 17 grandchildren and one great-grandson; and sisters, Betty Yost of Fostoria and Carolyn Schwan of Monroeville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister, in infancy.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, where there will be a prayer service at 8 p.m. Friday. The funeral Mass will take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Plymouth. The Rev. Stanley S. Szybka will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Sebastian Catholic Cemetery in Bismark.
