HURON — Phyllis J. Stanley, 73, of Huron, died Friday evening at her home.
She was born Sept. 23, 1933 in Coeburn, Va. and had lived in Huron since 1985, moving there from Berlin Heights. She was a homemaker who enjoyed bowling and crochet.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence; daughters, Jeannie Bowers of Jeffersonville, Ind., Sharon Chicotel of Sandusky; sons, Clarence (Marcia) Stanley Jr. of Collins and Darryl of Huron; sisters, Jettie Marshall of Coeburn, Va., June (Joseph) Lyons of Lexington, Ky., Barbara Burkins of Boca Raton, Fla., and Geneva Richardson of Milan; 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Laurah (Spence) Freeman; sisters, Gertrude Keith, Frances Ruff and Ruth Freeman; brothers, Garland, Joseph and Charles Freeman; and one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hinman-Tanner Funeral Home, 38 South St., Berlin Heights, where a memorial service will take place at 8 p.m. with the Rev. Jack Kiskaden officiating.
