PERRYSBURG Leo R. Taylor Jr. 76, of Perrysburg and formerly of Norwalk, died Thursday at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg.

He was born Dec. 21, 1930 in Nichols, S.C., son of Leo R. and Lillian Glenn (Moye) Taylor Sr. He was a 1947 graduate of Nichols High School. He attended University of South Carolina and then Wingate Jr. College.

For more than 25 years, Leo was a truck driver for Interstate Motor freight and Chrysler and after his retirement continued in the trucking industry with Dan's Thermal King.

He enjoyed camping and traveling, playing cards and tinkering. He was known as "Tinker Toy" on the CB Radio while on the road.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rebecca (Hutchinson), whom he married Sept. 30, 1951 in Nichols; daughters, Paula (Larry) Seiling of Perrysburg and Pamela (Matthew) Walczak of Maumee; four grandchildren and two great-grandsons; a brother, Prentice (Betty) Taylor of Columbia, S.C.; and a sister, Maxine (Herschel) Hudson of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.

Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary, Perrysburg, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Ann Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Waterville.
