SANDUSKY - Larry A. Motl, 70, of Norwalk and formerly of Willard, died Monday afternoon at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky.
He was born June 28, 1937 in Browerville, Minn., son of the late Martin and Marie Motl.
He was retired from Chrysler and was a member of the Cline Street Freewill Baptist Church, Norwalk. He was a member of the Norwalk Moose and enjoyed playing dart ball, bowling and fishing, and especially spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his sons, Stanley R. Moon of Sandusky and Randy D. Moon of Parker, Fla., four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and sisters, Arvilla (Norman) Beach of Eagle Bend, Minn. and Virginia Kilinoski of Sauk Century, Minn.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lissie (Smith) Motl, whom he married May 25, 1962 and who died May 4, 2000; and six brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lindsey-Kocher Funeral Service, 323 Myrtle Ave., Willard. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at United Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Hamilton officiating. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, New Haven.
