WILLARD Joseph Phillip Ganni, 67, of Willard, died unexpectedly Thursday at his home.
He was born Aug. 14, 1940 in East Liverpool to James Sr. and Rose (Roppa) Ganni and was a life-long Willard resident. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. He had been a manager for football and basketball, at Willard High School for more than 30 years, where he became friends with many coaches, players and fans.
He was a loyal sports fan of the Willard Flashes, the Cleveland Browns, Indians, Cavaliers, and Ohio State. He was a member of the Willard Elks and VFW.
He was the manager of Carmeans Barber Shop in Willard and was a permanent fixture.
He is survived by a sister, Marsha Ganni of Willard; a niece and her spouse, Ashley and Craig Wenninger of Willard; and a brother, James Ganni Jr. and his companion, Elaine Sneed of Seymour, Ind.; two nieces; a nephew; and a great nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Sr. and Rose (Roppa) Ganni.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Secor Funeral Home, 202 W. Maple St., Willard. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Stanley S. Szybka officiating.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Willard.

WILLARD Austin McKenzie Jr., 59, of Willard, died on Friday at his residence.
He was born Nov. 16, 1948 in Brainard, Ky. to Austin McKenzie Sr. and Angeline (Simmons) Thrall.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He served 15 years in the military, 10 years in the special forces, Green Berets, and five years as a recruiter in the Army.
He is survived by his father, Austin McKenzie Sr. of Mt. Sterling, Ky.; his mother, Angeline Thrall of Willard; sisters, Peggy McKenzie of Willard and Joyce McKenzie of Fostoria; a brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Tammy McKenzie of Willard; three nephews, a niece, 2 great nieces, and a great nephew.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Cheryl Kay McKenzie.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, 202 W. Maple St, where services will take place at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Greg Griffith officiating.
Burial with military rites will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven.

NORWALK James A. Scagnetti, 72, of Norwalk, died Friday afternoon at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 22, 1935 in Cincinnati to the late Clem and Mary Louise (Houser) Scagnetti and lived in the Bellevue and Norwalk areas most of his life. He was a 1953 graduate of Bellevue High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus Council 752 of Belleuve and was a former member of the I.A.B. Club in Sandusky. He was a self-employed carpenter and former employee of Scagnetti Construction Company in Bellevue. He enjoy traveling, boating, bowling and water skiing.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Gloria (Leber) Scagnetti, of Norwalk, and by his sister and brother in law, Pat and Bill Ziemke of Sandusky, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. until the time of service at 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Johns United Church of Christ, 2712 W. Mason Road, Oxford Township. The Rev. Wendy Schindler Chasney will officiate.
