WADSWORTH Jeffrey M. Murray, of Wadsworth, died Tuesday evening at Medina General Hospital.

He was born April 10, 1966 in Fairview and was raised in Norwalk and graduated from Norwalk High School in 1984.

He was a veteran of the Navy. He was a volunteer fireman for the Sharon Township Fire Department and was a former volunteer fireman for the Medina Township Fire Department. He was a member of Eagles Aerie No. 2117. He worked for First Energy of Wadsworth and had worked for First Energy in Sandusky and Medina and also for TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) in Chattanooga, Tenn.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Cheryl A. (Pedersen) Murray of Wadsworth; a son, Joshua M. Murray of Chattanooga, Tenn.; a daughter, Airman Abigail E. Murray of Biloxi, Miss.; parents, Michael E. and Danna Murray of Norwalk and Carol A. Wetherill of London; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bryon M. and Susan Murray of Columbus, Craig M. and Karen Murray serving in the Army in Iraq; a sister, Amy Brady of South Vienna; half brothers, Todd Armbruster of Akron and Ben Armbruster of Washington, D.C.; and maternal grandparents, Melvin and Isabelle Wetherill of Norwalk.

Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday in Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk. Funeral Services will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Norwalk First United Methodist Church, 60 W. Main St., Norwalk. The Rev. Dr. Roger E. Smith will officiate.
