COLLINS - James "Richard" Conley, 65, of Collins, died Monday morning at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky.
He was born Sept. 9, 1942 in Lucasville and had lived in Collins for the last 22 years. He worked at Lorain Ford for 30 years, retiring in 1997. He loved bluegrass music and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of almost 35 years Peggy (Wills); daughters, Samantha (John) Polak of Collins, and Stacy (Brad) Purcell of West Union; five grandchildren; a brother, Lawrence (Shirley) Conley of Ottway; sisters, Marthie Charles, of Tennessee, Dorothy Oberling of Little Rock, Ark., Gladys (Don) Campbell, of Little Rock, Ark., and Janet (Noah) Kendrick, of Pikeville, Ky.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Mary (Parsons) Conley; and a brother and sister in infancy.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Morman Funeral Home, 16 Cooper St., Wakeman, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Junior Kerns will be officiating. Burial will follow in Collins Cemetery.
