SOMERSET, Ky. James Harold Brown, 59, of Kentucky, died Feb. 12 at his residence.
He was born July 6, 1947 to Georgia Westfall of Harrisville, Pa. and the late Elbert Morris Brown.
He was avid hunter, fisherman, and camper. He enjoyed working on vehicles, and loved to spend time with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Frances Marie Brown of Norwalk, Ohio, Linda May and Leo Speer of Nancy, Ky., Christine Ann and Tom Eastman of Norwalk, Ohio and Jamie Lynn Goodsite of Akron, Ohio; a special friend, Betty New; step-sons, John Strunk, Nancy, Ky., Otis and Melissa Strunk of Science Hill, Ky.; Bobby Strunk of Nancy, Ky.; a brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Pam Brown of Harrisville, Pa.; 17 grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren, and two step great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; a daughter, Judith Kay Thomas; a grandson, Aaron Eastman; a step-son Robert "Mo" Strunk; a sister, Judie Meyers; and grandparents, James H. and Martha E. Brown and Lorinad and Ella Westfall.
Calling hours were held Sunday at the Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, Somerset, Ky. Funeral services were held Monday at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home. Brother Darry Hatfield officiated. Burial in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
