BELLEVUE - Isabella Catherine Smith, 91, of Bellevue, died Saturday at Mercy Hospital of Willard.
She was born Oct. 12, 1916 in Bellevue the daughter of the late William C. and Veronica (Wybensinger) Claus. She was a homemaker and married Thomas A. Smith on Oct. 12, 1940 in Marywood. He preceded her death.
She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and St Gaspar del Bufalo. She loved bingo, euchre, the Cleveland Indians, quilting, and her dog, Spike. She also enjoyed cooking and worked at Uncle Dudley's restaurant in Willard.
She is survived by daughters, Mary Lou Bordner of Attica, Ruth (Roger) Miller of Pataskala, and Sue (Lee)Vanderveen of Attica; sons, Ken (Sandy) Smith of Helena, Gene (Jo Ann) Smith of Bellevue, Paul Smith and Lauree Waller of Bellevue, and Mike (Cindy) Smith of Attica; 18 grandchildren and 25 great grand children; and four stepbrothers.
In addition to her husband and parent, she was preceded in death a brother, Bill.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lindsey-Foos-Kocher Funeral Service, 1295 W. Tiffin St., Attica, where a Rosary service will take place at 7 p.m. Tuesday. A burial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady Of Hope Catholic Church with the Rev. Paul Farbach officiating. Interment will follow at Reed Assumption Catholic Cemetery.
