GRANVILLE - Harold C. McDougal, 72, of Granville, died Sunday at his home.
He was born Nov. 12, 1935, in Plymouth, son of the late Clem and Artie (Shorthouse) McDougal.
Harold was a 1953 graduate of Greenwich High School. He worked as a millwright for H.C. Attebery & Associates in Granville for more than 26 years. In 2000, he retired from B&B Tractor in Utica.
He was a member of Lodge #261 F. & A. M. in North Fairfield. An avid gardener, his other hobbies included camping, boating, and collecting 1/64 scale toys.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Darlene (Ebinger) McDougal of Granville; sons and daughters-in-law, Barry and Lorrie McDougal of Newark, and Alan and Colleen McDougal of Newark; a grandson and his fiancé, and three granddaughters; a sister, B. Mae Newcomer of Bradenton, Fla.; and a special aunt, Ruth of Bradenton, Fla.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at McPeek Funeral Home, 133 S. Prospect St., Granville, where a Masonic service will be held prior to calling at 5:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at McPeek Funeral Home in Granville with pastor Tom Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery in Newark.
