FREMONT Glenn R. Miller, 87, formerly of Green Springs, died Wednesday at Valley View Health Care Center, Fremont.

He was born March 26, 1919 in Clyde to the late Harold T. and Elma (Perrin) Miller.

He graduated from Clyde High School in 1937; and then The Ohio State University in 1941 from the College of Ag Engineering. He was a member of the Clyde Christian Church and member of the Disciples of Christ, He was the former organist at church, served on the board for a number of years and a active leader of the church. He was also active in the church organizations at the state level. He was president of Rural Serve for many years, a member of the Beet Growers, named Farmer of the year in Sandusky Co. in 1975, and a member of the Bellevue RR Museum. He enjoyed all the performing arts.

After retiring from his own farming, he worked for 20 years at the Charles Hanline Farms in Willard.

He is survived by his wife, Lois (Koppman) Miller, whom he married Sept. 15, 1950; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Kay and Dennis Blair of Bellevue, Diane and Craig Husch of Racine, Wis. and Cheryl Miller of Chicago; a son, Bruce Miller of Columbus; two grandchildren and two step grandchildren and one step great-grandchild; and siblings, George (Olive) Miller of Mansfield, Elsie (Jack) Ayres of Smith Center, Kan., Frank (Ginger) Miller of Clyde, Paul (Anita) Miller of Fremont, Don (Carolyn) Miller of Fremont, Karl (Lynnette) Miller of Carmel, Ind., Dale (Judy) Miller of Brownsburg, Ind., Joyce (Tom) Craig of Green Springs and Dean (Annie) Miller of New Orleans, La.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St., Clyde. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Clyde Christian Church. The Rev. Larry Miracle and Rev. Patti Able will officiate. Burial will be in Butternut Ridge Cemetery.
