NEW HAVEN — Glenn A. Babcock, 55, of New Haven, died Wednesday at his home.
He was born May 23, 1952 in Fort Benning, Ga., and has been a lifelong Huron County resident. He was a 1970 graduate of Willard High School and a longtime employee of Fanny Farmer in Norwalk. He enjoyed reading and music.
He is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Babcock, of Cynthia, Ky.; and Anna Marie Babcock, of Norwalk; his parents, Richard and Alice (McPherson) Babcock, of New Haven; three brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Diane Babcock, of Fostoria, Kevin and Mary Ellen Babcock, of New London, Virgil and Connie Babcock of Thorton, Ill.; two nephews, Joshua Babcock, serving in Iraq; and Garrett Babcock, of New London; and a special aunt, Harriett Miller, of New Haven.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and an uncle, LeRoy Babcock.
Friends may call from 5:30 to 8 p.m. today at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, with the Rev. Lynda Masters officiating.
