GREENWICH Gary Lee Goble, 51, of Greenwich died Wednesday at Louis Stokes-Wade Park Division VA Medical Center in Cleveland, after a five year battle with Multiple Myeloma.
He was born Sept. 11, 1955 in Martin, Ky., he had lived in Greenwich for the past 19 years. He had attended Norwalk High School and served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from the operation of his business, Goble Boys Equipment, Inc. of Greenwich. He was a member of the Greenwich American Legion Mil Bow Mar Post No. 280. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Barbara (Cochran) Goble; a son, Aaron Lee Goble of Greenwich; his parents, Carl and Bobbie Goble of Norwalk; a sister, Theresia (William) LaBonte of Ocoee, Fla.; a brother, Eddie (Pam) Goble of Norwalk; numerous nieces and nephews; and family friend, David Devlin of North Fairfield.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London, where friends may call one hour prior. The Rev. Bob Hudberg will officiate, and burial will follow in the Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery.
