COLLINS - Frances H. Rosenberger, 88, of Collins, died Sunday at Gaymont Nursing Center.
She was born Feb. 2, 1919 in Fremont to the late Carl A. and Ilola F. (Overmyer) Andecover and came to this area in 1953 from Fremont.
She was a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church where she enjoyed the Christian Service Day. She was a farm wife and former waitress at the former Bee Hive Restaurant in Olena, former employee of the Lone Elm Inn of Norwalk, cleaned area homes and retired from Industrial Powder Coating in Norwalk.
She was a member of the Bunko Club, was a Red Cross Bloodmobile Volunteer, the Busy Bee's Farm Women's Club and the Huron County Senior Citizens Fun Band.
She enjoyed reading and word search puzzles.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Gary Hoover of Norwalk, Judy and Lloyd Shinsky of Springfield, Mo. and Susan Rosenberger of Chandler, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Rosenberger in 1988; a daughter, Cheryl Keegan in 2001; a great-granddaughter; and sisters, Lois Balsizer and Norma Baarlear.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk and from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 243 Benedict Ave., Norwalk. The Rev. Fred Wiechers will officiate. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont.
