MILAN — Flossie C. Laviola, 88, of Milan and formerly of Bellevue, died Wednesday at the Arbors at Clyde in Clyde.
She was born on Nov. 2, 1918, in Bellevue and was the daughter of the late Sam and Josephine (Giammo) Baptista.
She worked at General Electric for 31 years and retired in 1981. She married Frank Laviola Sept. 15, 1941 at Immaculate Conception Church in Bellevue. She was a 1937 graduate of Bellevue High School and a member of Immaculate Conception Church, the General Electric International Association of Machinist, Club Amer-Ital, and the Altar Rosary Society.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Theodore Lillibridge of Milan; two grandchildren; a sister, Theresa Baptista of Bellevue; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; and brothers, Sam J. Baptista, Charles Baptista, and William J. Baptista; and infant sister, Teresa Baptista.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday with Rosary service at 3:30 p.m. at Foos & Son Funeral Home; 311 W. Main St., Bellevue. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church. The Rev. Frank Speier will officiate. Burial to follow in Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.
