BELLEVUE - F. Wayne Todd, 73, of Bellevue, died Wednesday at the Stein Hospice in Sandusky.
He was born Nov. 12, 1933, in Abilene, Kan., to the late W. Harold and Margarette Todd. He had lived most of his life in Bellevue.
He graduated from Bellevue High School in 1951, and then The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy in 1962. He had owned the Stadium Pharmacy then later worked for various pharmacies.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Bellevue, where he had served as a member of the financial committee; he was a lifetime member of the Ohio State University Association; the past president of the NW Ohio Academy of Pharmacists; a member of the American Academy of Pharmacists; a member of the Bellevue Eagles; and a past member of the Masonic Lodge; Bellevue Elks and the Bellevue Lions, where he had served as its president twice and had received the Lion of the Year Award in 1976 and 1977 and then again in 1986 and 1987; He was the chairman of the Cherry Festival in 1981 and 1982.
He truly enjoyed helping at the Bellevue Community Center and his hobbies of refinishing antiques, all sports and working on family genealogy.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Mizer) Todd, whom he married June 20, 1954; daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Wayne McMullen of Dublin, Tami and Scott Buchwalter of Highland, Ill.; sons, Larry (Larry) Todd of Bexley and Jon (Anne) Todd of Reynoldsburg; seven grandchildren; a brother, H. Dean (Joanne Zehner) Todd of Heath, Texas; and sisters-in-law, Marthella (James) Burrows of Lakeside and Nancy (Ervin) Remaley of Bellevue.
He was preceded in death by his infant son, Jonathan Taylor Todd.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St., Bellevue, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Jane Ann Clark will officiate. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
