WINTER GARDENS, Fla. - Elizabeth (Alford) Benschoter, 72, of Winter Gardens and formerly of Adrian, Mich., died Nov. 2 at the Colonial House Health Care Center in Winter Gardens after battling Alzheimer's disease.
She was born Sept. 18, 1932 in Brooklyn, Mich. to the late James and Ethel (Horton) Alford. She was a Realtor in Florida, where she had lived for many years, and she had also lived in California.
She was known as a lively woman with a passion for traveling, modeling, dancing, and caring for all her animals.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Joseph and Cindy Simpson of Adrian, Mich.; daughter and son-in-law, Tanya and Dave Garvin of Colorado Springs, Colo.; seven grandchildren and a great grandson; brothers, Bill Oles of Adrian, Mich. and Jimmy Alford of Norwalk, Ohio.
She was preceded by her brother, Roy Alford.
Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday at Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk, where services will take place at 3 p.m. Burial will be in Clarksfield Methodist Cemetery.
