BELLEVUE — Edwin "Ed" H. Didion, 83, of Bellevue, died Tuesday at his residence where he was born May 11, 1923. He was the son of the late August and Louise (Ringlein) Didion.
He was a master cabinet maker and wood worker. He was a member of St. Gaspar del Bufalo Church, the former St. Sebastian Church and the Bellevue Knights of Columbus. He was a 1943 graduate of Bellevue High School and will be remembered as the Didion family genealogist and steward of the land he loved so much.
He is survived by his brothers, Dr. Paul Didion of Jefferson Wis. and James Didion of Naples, Fla.; sisters, Olivia Helmkamp of Strawberry, Ariz., Rita Brandal and Dorothy Shelley of Bellevue; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Albin Didion and Elmer Didion; sisters, Irene Grine, Agnes Stewart, Dolores Nelson, Lavina Friend and Mary Didion.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Foos and Son Funeral Home, 311 W. Main St., Bellevue where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. A funeral Mass will take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St Gaspar del Bufalo Church, 16209 E. CR 46, Bellevue. Burial will follow in St. Sebastian Cemetery.
