NORWALK Edna M. Ensign, 75, of Norwalk, died early Sunday morning in Fisher-Titus Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 7, 1931 in Blanchard, Mich. to the late Ralph A. and Hattie E. (Guetz) Myers and lived in this area most of her life.
She was a member of the Norwalk Baptist Church and Firelands Post No. 2743 Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. She was a former employee of the Philco Co., Twilight Gardens Home, and various area restaurants. She enjoyed RVing and crocheting.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Kenneth V. Ensign; sons and daughter-in-law, Kenneth V. and Susan Ensign III of New London and Kevin V. Ensign of Fairview, Ky.; a daughter and son-in-law, Eva Marie and Ric Casto of Coffeeville, Kan.; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Ralph A. Myers of Summertown, Tenn. and Walter Myers of Norwalk; and a sister, Charlotte Sanford of Norwalk.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Myers; and sisters, Helen Turner, Esther Trotzier, and Lillian Laws.
Friends may call from noon until the time of service at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk. Burial will be in Olena Cemetery.
