Earsie Risner, age 95, of Greenwich, died Thursday morning, June 14, 2007 at the Hospice House, Hospice of North Central Ohio in Ashland, after a several month illness.

Mrs. Risner was born February 3, 1912 in Seitz, Kentucky, daughter of the late, Farish & Cora (Johnson) Montgomery. She had lived in Jackson, Michigan and Attica, Ohio, and in the Greenwich area for over 50 years. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening cooking and family. She was a member of the Greenwich Baptist Church.

Mrs. Risner is survived by 2 daughters, Beth (James) McCormack and Donna (Roger) Smith all of Greenwich; 4 sons, Shafter (Maxine) Risner, Glaster (Alva) Risner and Al Risner all of Greenwich and Ray (Elizabeth) Risner of Crestline, Ohio; 28 grandchildren; 62 great grandchildren; 36 great great grandchildren; and a daughter in law, Toni Risner of Greenwich. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cisco Risner in 1988; a son, Vaxter Risner in 1975; 2 daughters in law, Mildred Risner and Helen Risner and 5 brothers, Shafter Montgomery, Ed Montgomery, Lacy Montgomery, Prock Montgomery , and Liberty Montgomery; and 2 sisters, Florence Kissinger and Virgie Montgomery. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 16, 2007 at the Ripley Church, 4130 S. Edwards Road, Greenwich, where friends may call one hour prior. Pastor Bob Hudberg will officiate and burial will follow in the Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery.
