BERLIN HEIGHTS Dorothy "Dot" Bowser, 89, of Berlin Heights and formerly of Pennsylvania, died Thursday evening at Erie County Care Facility in Huron.

She was born June 16, 1918 in Hollidaysburg, Pa. and had lived in Berlin Heights since 1953. She was an avid knitter and sewer, and loved to cook. She had many 4-H groups and taught CCD at the Methodist Church for many years. She loved talking and working with children and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter, Jennifer (Gilbert) Hensley of Berlin Heights; sons, Jesse (Prudy) Bowser of Berlin Heights, Lester (Suzanne) Bowser of Huron; a sister, Thelma Schafer of Hollidaysburg, Pa.; brothers, Amadeus Miller of Metoleous, Ore., Glenn Miller of Madras, Ore., and Joe Miller of Bend, Ore.; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul and several brothers and sisters.

Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Morman-Hinman-Tanner Funeral Home, 38 South St., Berlin Heights, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Berlin Heights.
