NORWALK - Donna B. Ratliff, 78, of Norwalk, died early Thursday morning in Gaymont Nursing Center.
She was born March 9, 1929 in Lorain to the late Archie and Wauneta (Penson) Allison and was a lifelong area resident. She was a member of New Covenant Lighthouse Church of Norwalk, and was a former member of Milan Friends Church for many years.
She was a former member of the Norwalk Moose Auxiliary. She was a nursing assistant at Gaymont Nursing Center, the Huron County Home, and retired from Twilight Gardens Home. She enjoyed crocheting, crafts and singing in the Echos of Faith Gospel Group. She played many musical instruments, including the organ.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth E. and Genevieve Blystone, Steven and Carolyn Blystone, and John and Judy Ratliff, all of Norwalk, and by her daughters and sons-in-law, Dusella (Sis) and Edward Chapman, and Wauneta and Larry Stinson, all of Norwalk, by 16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She also is survived by her sister, Alma Bailey, of New York, and by her cousin, Lillian Harvey, of North Ridgewood.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Ratliff, by her daughter, Dana L. Blystone, in 1975, and by a great grandson.
Friends may call on from 5:00 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday. The Revs. William Enderle and Kenneth E. Blystone will officiate. Burial will follow in Milan Cemetery.
