SHILOH - Daniel Boone Shepherd, 68, of Shiloh, died Saturday with his children and family by his side in Willard Quality Care Nursing Center following an extended illness.
He was born Sept. 29, 1938 in Magoffin Co., Ky. to the late Arvel and Eva Shepherd.
He was employed as a press operator for 23 years retiring from Midwest Industries in Willard, where he received many awards for his services. He enjoyed NASCAR racing and was a fan of No. 12, Ryan Newman. A member of the House of Fellowship in Plymouth, he loved doing work for his Lord and his church.
He is survived by his children, Roy (Angie) Shepherd of Greenwich, Troy (Jeanette) Shepherd of Norwalk, Dora (Fred) Snipes of Shiloh, Brian (Robin) Shepherd of Greenwich, Deborah (Steve) Moore of Plymouth; 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Mable Buffington, Velva Johnson, and Roger Shepherd, all of Shiloh, Evelyn Barnett and Ellie Williams, both of Greenwich, Alice Fletcher and Sally Willingham, both of Shelby, Isaac Shepherd of Chattfield, Arvel Shepherd, Jr. of Canada, Elsie Stamper of Mt. Vernon; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two infant sons, Adam and Paul Shepherd; his twin brother, Abraham Shepherd; and daughter-in-law, Cathy Shepherd.
Friends may call at the church anytime today. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday from the House of Fellowship in Plymouth on Ohio 103, with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Shiloh.
