COLUMBUS - Clair L. Sarr, 78, of Columbus and formerly of Berlin Heights, died Saturday at Main Street Terrace Nursing Home in Lancaster.
He was born June 2, 1929 in Norwalk. He was a graduate of Berlin Heights High School and The Ohio State University.
He worked for the State of Ohio as a Fraud Investigator for the Auditor of State for 25 years.
He was a former member of the First Congregational U.C.C. in Berlin Heights. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was an avid golfer and gardener.
He is survived by several cousins and close friends Deborah Fey of Lancaster and Frank Dowdle of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara; and parents, Lavern and Dorothy (Schuster) Sarr.
There will be no visitation.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7 at Peaks Cemetery near Berlin Heights.
Arrangements are being handled by Hinman-Tanner Funeral Home in Berlin Heights.
