NORWALK — Carolyn L. Lesniewski, 63, of Norwalk, died Tuesday morning at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky.

She was born April 29, 1943 in Cleveland, daughter of the late Edward M. and Caroline (Roulanaitis) Zupancic.

She attended St. Paul Catholic Church and was a teacher for Norwalk City Schools from 1968 to 1974 and had also taught in the Beaver Local Schools and in the Lowell (Ind.) Public Schools. She retired in 2004 from the Western Reserve Elementary School and had also taught G.E.D. for the Huron County Jails and had also worked in the Huron County Job Store. She was a former Cub Scout Den Parent and was a dedicated volunteer for the Norwalk Athletic Booster Club Bingo Program, since 1995.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Thomas M. Lesniewski of Norwalk; and a son and his fiancée, Ryan T. Lesniewski and Laura Leach, both of Norwalk.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Edward E. Zupancic in 1973.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk, where prayer services will be held at 4:45 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main St., Norwalk. The Rev. David Cirata will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery.
