GREENWICH Bobbie Slone Case, 71, of rural Greenwich, died Thursday at Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk after an unexpected illness.
She was born May 19, 1935 in Wayland, Ky., to the late James Franklin and Goldie (Spears) Dixon. She had lived in the Greenwich area the past 41 years.
She was a 1953 graduate of Wayland High School in Kentucky and retired from the former Van Dresser Corp. in Norwalk as an inspector.
She was active in the Greenwich First Baptist Church. She enjoyed watching her grandsons play sports and her church.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Lacreasha and Jim Johnston of Norwalk; two grandsons and a spouse of Norwalk; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, two brothers; and a son-in-law, Richard Horne.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 W. Main St., Greenwich. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Greenwich First Baptist Church, 96 Townsend St., Greenwich, with visitation one hour prior. The Rev. Gary Adkins will officiate. Burial will follow in the Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery.
