BELLEVUE — Beverly A. Smithson, 75, of Bellevue, died Monday at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky.

Beverly was born Oct. 9, 1931 in Bellevue to Raymond and Stella (Burkett) Cloud Sr. She graduated from Bellevue High School in 1949.

She attended the First Baptist Church in Sandusky and was a member of Antique Club in Bellevue and Garden Club and Tourist Club in Bellevue, where she was currently serving as treasurer.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Val and Rick Bressler of Sandusky; a son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Garlene Smithson of Hartwell, Ga.; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; sisters and a brother-in-law, Norma Miller of Clyde; Lucille and Dick Overmeyer of Fremont; and a brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Judy Cloud of Willard.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard R. Smithson, whom she married Aug. 31, 1949 and who died Dec. 29, 2001; two infant sons, Ronald and Roger Smithson; brothers, Clyde Cloud and Raymond Cloud Jr.; and a sister, Mary Cloud.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St. Bellevue, where the funeral will take place at 10:30 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Dan Miller of First Baptist Church in Sandusky officiating. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
