MILAN - Betty J. (Luther) Stefl, 72, of Milan, died Tuesday at Briarfield of Milan after a lengthy illness.
She was born June 10, 1935 in Springville, New York, to the late Eugene and Myrtle (Widrig) Luther. She was a lifetime resident of New York state until she moved to Milan in 1996 to be closer to her grandchildren.
She was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Clarksfield. Her joy in life was learning about the Lord and sharing it with others. She loved to bake, do crafts and most of all spend time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kim (Stefl) and Terry Edler of New London; two grandchildren of New London; brothers, Kenneth Luther of Collins, New York, Calvin Luther of East Concord, New York, Richard Luther of Norridgewock, Maine; and sisters, Darlene (Luther) Parsell of Collins, New York and Diane (Luther) DeNoon of Bradenton, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Stefl.
A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Clarksfied. Burial will follow at a later date in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Pennsylvania.
Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London were in charge of arrangements.
