NORWALK - Bette L. Fell, 78, of Norwalk, died early this morning at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky.
She was born July 5, 1929 in Bronson Township, daughter of the late Clarence P. and Maude (Fisher) Geiger and was a lifelong area resident.
She was a former employee of Norwalk Truck Lines, Fanny Farmer Candy Company and was a retired school bus driver for the Norwalk Public Schools. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing cards and baking.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, John W. and Janice E. Fell of Norwalk, Duane R. Fell of Cornelius, N.C., and William S. and Janice L. Fell of Norwalk; daughter and son-in-law, Jackie A. and Jeff Brown of Norwalk; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a brother, Alfred Thomas of Cleveland; and a sister, Arlene "Sis" Ott of Monroeville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth G. "Bud" Fell in 1993; and brothers, Arthur "Art" Geiger and William Geiger.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk, where prayer services will be at 6:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church, 38 W. League St., Norwalk. Burial will be in St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
