SHELBY Bertha C. Clark, 76, resident of Crestwood Care Center in Shelby and former Greenwich resident, died Wednesday in MedCentral Shelby Hospital.
She was born Sept. 19, 1930 in Rowan County, Ky. to the late Jessie M. and Emma (Baldridge) Perkins and had been a resident of Shelby since 1979.
She enjoyed gardening, and sporting events, along with her sons' interest and desires with cars.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Rodney and Cheryl Clark of Trenton, Rocky and Janet Clark of Willard and Mark and Patti Clark of Greenwich; eight grandchildren and a great-grandson; and a sister, Gladys Young of Hotsprings, Ark.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Emma (Baldridge) Perkins; brothers, Alvin, Jessie Jr. and Ralph Perkins; and sisters, Anna McBrewer, Opal Shelton, Elizabeth Smith, Carrie Vick and Eulah Bowman.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, where the service will take place at 11 a.m. Sister Barbara Jean Miller will officiate. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Greenwich.
