GLENDALE, Ariz. Bernardino P. "Nino" Flores, 75, of Glendale, Ariz. and formerly of Bellevue, died Saturday in Arizona.
He was born Nov. 28, 1931 in Mission, Texas, son of the late Jose and Maria Flores.
He served as one of Jehovah Witnesses for 47 years and was dearly known for his ministry. His demeanor and smile attracted people to him and his Bible-based message.
He built fire proof safes for Center Manufacturing in Bellevue, retiring in 1994.
He is survived by his wife, Oralia (Garcia) Flores, whom he married May 3, 1955; daughters, Elisa Reid of Anaheim, Calif. and Lydia Flores of Glendale, Ariz.; sons and daughters-in-law, Ferandino and Pamela Flores of Cleveland, Bernardino and Norma Flores of Bellevue, Daniel and Peggy Flores of Williamsburg and David and Jennifer Flores of Bellevue; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a brother, Jose Flores; and sisters, Lupita Garza and Horencia Flores, both of Port Clinton.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. March 17 at the Bellevue Society for the Arts, where the memorial service will take place at 4 p.m.
