SANDUSKY - Anthony P. Nosack, 93, a resident of the Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky died Thursday at his residence.
He was born April 3, 1914 in McAlester, Okla., and had resided in the Collins and Norwalk area until moving to Florida in 1975. He was a Navy veteran of World War II as a machinist mate on the LST 951 in the Pacific Theater and participated in the Okinawa campaign. His employments included being a farmer and working at Rockwell Corp., A.J. Baltes and Milan Steel, retiring in 1975. He enjoyed traveling, fishing and reunions with his shipmates.
He is survived by his children, Larry Nosack of Wakeman, Ronald Nosack of Florence, and Darlene Nosack of Marysville; a sister, Anna Debevec of New Philadelphia; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Agnes Tilkey; a sister, Mary Dindo-Rosenberry; and a brother, Frank (Pat) Nosack.
Burial will be in Marysville at a later date.
