ELYRIA Anna Mae (Blakeslee) Fisher, 91, of Norwalk, died Friday at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky following a short illness.
She was born Aug. 22, 1916 in Eaton Township and was a resident of Elyria Township for most of her life. She was a 1934 graduate of Elyria High School.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Elyria. She enjoyed gardening, baking and doing yard work, and loved her dogs.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, David and Philomena Fisher of Norwalk; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack E. Fisher Sr.; sons, Jack E. Fisher Jr. and Robert F. Fisher; grandchildren, Jeffrey Fisher and Holly Fisher; a great-grandson, Shawn Eagle; sisters, Harriet Shoulter and Ruth Kay; and brothers, Howard, Frank, Harold and Russell.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Bauer-Laubenthal Funeral Home on Chestnut Ridge Road at Ohio 57 in Elyria. The Rev. Roger Talbott, pastor of First United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
