WAKEMAN - Anna G. Born, 90, of Henrietta Township, died Wednesday morning at Allen Medical Center in Oberlin.
She was born May 26, 1917, in Lorain and had lived in Henrietta Township most of her life. She graduated from Henrietta High School in 1934. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Henrietta United Methodist Church. Her home was the focal point for all the family activities, still hosting Thanksgiving and Christmas for more than 40 family members, even last year.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Marjorie (Robert) Schumann of St. John, Ind., James Born of Henrietta, William (Donna) Born of Henrietta, Robert (Mary) Born of Homosassa, Fla., Gerald (Barb) Born of Henrietta, Raymond (Ren) Born of Henrietta, and Melanie (Rick) McLoda of Henrietta; 20 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; a sister, Louise (William) Wilhelm of Amherst; a brother, Conrad "Bud" (Margaret) Adler, of Wis.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Conrad and Mary (Snyder) Adler; husband, Arthur Born; a son, Arthur Born; a daughter, Susan Beecheler; a granddaughter Rebecca; and a sister Mary Born.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Morman Funeral Home, 16 Cooper St., Wakeman, where services will take place at 10 a.m. Friday. Pastor Ray Ake of the Henrietta United Methodist Church will officiate.
Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
