REPUBLIC Alfred Willman, 67 of Republic, died Thursday at St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo.

He was born Feb. 19, 1940 in Reed Township, the son of the late Herbert and Anna (Lintz) Willman. He was a 1958 graduate of Attica High School and served in the Army National Guard.

He was a farmer and employed at MTD Products in Willard. He was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Attica Knights of Columbus and Seneca County Farm Bureau. He enjoyed gardening, riding his dune-buggy and killing weeds in the yards of his friends and family members.

He is survived by his wife Mary (Widman) Willman, whom he married July 4, 1978 at St. Aloysius Church in Republic; sons, Paul (Robin) Willman of Republic, Matthew Kiser of Columbus, Jon (Jennifer) Kiser of Tiffin, and Joseph Willman of Republic; daughters, Therese (James) Ciolan of Warren, Mich. and Maria Morris of North Fairfield; 13 grandchildren; a brother, Tom Willman of Attica; and a sister, Eileen (John) Ruffing of Follen, Mass.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Richard Willman and the Rev. Herbert Willman Jr.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lindsey-Foos-Kocher Funeral Service, 1295 West Tiffin St., Attica, where the Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Monday. A funeral Mass will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, 14204 E. County Road 56, Attica. Burial will follow in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Attica.
