NEW LONDON - Aletha “Lee” Brant, 86, of New London, died Tuesday at Fisher Titus Medical Center.

She was born April 22, 1921 in Wellington, daughter of the late Clarence and Marie (Waite) Friend. She had lived in Elyria and in New London since 1950. She was a cook in the New London Schools cafeteria for 25 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Jean (Don) Field of New London; sons, Timothy (Linda) Brant, of Mascotte, Fla., and Larry (Dreama) Brant of Medina; 11 grandchildren, three step grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson; brothers, Lyle Friend and Donald Friend, both of Wellington; and a brother-in-law, Albert Praszek, of North Ridgeville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Brant, in 1993; and her sister, Jeannette Praszek.

Friends may call from noon until the time of service at 1 p.m. Saturday at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London, with the Rev. Seth Auman of the Norwalk First United Methodist Church officiating.

Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery in New London.
