NORWALK Adele M. Arnold, 84, of Norwalk, died Monday morning in Stein Hospice Care Center Sandusky.
She was born July 31, 1923 in Chicago, daughter of the late John R. and Anna M. (Sirineck) Chenault, and came to this area in 1960.
She was a member of the Norwalk First United Methodist Church, the Young at Heart Adult Sunday school class, the Wesleyan Circle. She was a former member of the Carillion Bell Choir. She was a member of Eastern Star Queen Esther Chapter No. 15, the VFW Auxiliary, and the Organ club of Norwalk and the Firelands Garden Club. She was also a member of the Bridge Couples Club and the Ladies Bridge Club. She enjoyed yard work, camping and traveling.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Noel Arnold of Norwalk; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert W. and Jayne Arnold of Richmond, Ind. and Daniel B. and Lana Arnold of Springfield; a daughter-in-law, Rita Arnold of Canal Winchester; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, David R. and Donna Chenault of Sarasota, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her son, Noel Arnold, III.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. until time of Memorial services at 3 p.m. Thursday at Norwalk First United Methodist Church, 60 W. Main St., Norwalk. The Rev. Roger E. Smith will officiate.
