NORWALK Elizabeth (Naszodian) Best, 84, of Norwalk, died Monday evening at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 17, 1922 in Norwalk to the late Eli and Anna Neamtu and was a lifelong area resident.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Norwalk. She was the former owner of the Unique Antique Store in Norwalk and was a former employee of McCrillis Woodworking Company in Norwalk and Stokely Van Camp in Norwalk. She enjoyed Bingo, antiquing, antique shows and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia A. "Ginny" and John Landoll of Milan, Mary Ann Naszodian of Lexington, Linda E. and David Ream of Norwalk; step daughters, Jean Ann Fishback of Tuscon, Ariz., Peggy Ann Mowry of Columbus and Patricia A. Moeslein of Davidsonville, Md.; 12 grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Nardecchia of Norwalk; and friend and caregiver, Carol Babcock of Sandusky.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Nick Naszodian in 1969; second husband, Vincent Best in 1998; sons, John H. Naszodian and Nicholas J. Naszodian; and a brother, Alex Neamtu.
Friends may call from noon until the time of service at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk. The Rev. Adrian Doll, pastor of Norwalk's First Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
