A Greenwich driver's blood-alcohol content level tested more than twice the legal limit in connection with a Norwalk Township crash this weekend.

Austin K. Mott, 21, of 1076 W. U.S. 224, had a BAC of .20 percent, according to the report by Trooper Korey Robinson, of the state Highway Patrol. The legal limit for drivers in Ohio is .08 percent.

Mott was southeast on U.S. 250 before the crash at 5:26 a.m. Friday. The trooper said he went off the right side, hit a utility pole and corrected to get back on the road, went off the right side and stopped in a grassy field. The crash happened near South Norwalk Road.

Whites Automotive Service towed the pickup truck from the scene with disabling damage.

Mott, who wasn't injured, was charged with driving under the influence, failure to control and a seatbelt violation.

The accident caused a power outage at the nearby Christie Lane Workshop, negatively affecting its operations that day.
