The former Mattress Company, located in Uptown Norwalk, was sold Monday at a sheriff's sale.

Mark Smith, owner of Premier Construction, submitted the winning bid of $51,000.

The former Mattress Company is located at 30-32 W. Main St.

Smith, who owns the property at 38 Benedict Ave. and used to own the building that now houses Sheri's Coffee House, said he plans to redevelop the property. "I have several clients who are interested in getting into the building," he said.
