Gov. John Kasich recently signed Senate Bill 310 into law.
"Basically, this bill puts the brakes on a bill that was passed in 2008 that required 22 percent of all energy had to come from renewables by the year 2025," State Rep. Terry Boose (R-Norwalk) said.
Renewable energy comes from sources including wind and solar.
Senate Bill 301's passage puts a two-year freeze on that process.
"The economy has changed since 2008, so we want to take a look to see if the bill passed in 2008 was a good decision or whether we need to adjust it," Boose said.
