Norwalk resident Becky Enderby, aunt to 4-year-old Ella Enderby, said her niece is "very brave."

The little girl is battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

Ella was diagnosed with the disease at the end of January. She and her family live in Alpena, Mich. but have many relatives who live in Huron County.

A 5K run/walk is scheduled for May 31 at Veterans Memorial Lake Park, Shelter 1. Registration will begin at 10 a.m. with the walk starting at 11. The event will be held rain or shine.

The entry fee is $20 pre-registration (must be received by May 15). The cost is $25 after that as well as the day of registration. No refunds will be given.
