An Akron man was robbed of his wallet and car after dropping off a woman he had met through Facebook, police said.

Police said the man, 20, and woman went to the 100 block of West Mildred Avenue at about 9:30 p.m. Monday.

When the man pulled into the driveway, the woman made a call to someone inside the home and told them to open the door.

As the woman walking up the driveway and around the back of the house, two men grabbed the man and pulled him from the car, police said.

One of the robbers fired a shot into the air and threatened to shoot the man, who ran to a nearby house and asked the resident to call the police.

The robbers took the man’s tan Chevrolet Impala and fled. The house was vacant since October, police said.

The robbers and the woman have not been identified, police said.
