Hazardous weather outlook for Huron County

The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued the following hazardous weather outlook for Huron County and the surrounding areas:

A FRONT WILL MOVE ACROSS THE REGION LATER TODAY AND THIS EVENING.

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED ALONG AND AHEAD OF THIS

FRONT. THE STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS INDICATED THAT THERE IS A

SLIGHT RISK FOR SEVERE WEATHER AS THIS ACTIVITY MOVES THROUGH.

RIGHT NOW IT APPEARS THE MAIN SEVERE WEATHER THREAT WILL BE FROM

LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING STRAIGHT LINE WINDS.

Here is the short-term forecast:

A LINE OF SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS FROM

WESTERN LAKE ERIE INTO NORTH CENTRAL OHIO WILL BE MOVING

NORTHEAST THROUGH 3PM.

LOCALLY HEAVY RAINS...WILL ACCOMPANY THE LINE OF SHOWERS.

LOCATIONS THAT WILL BE AFFECTED INCLUDE THE ISLANDS OF WESTERN

LAKE ERIE...CLYDE...PORT CLINTON...SANDUSKY...AND BELLEVUE.

LOCALLY HEAVY RAINS...WILL ACCOMPANY THE LINE OF SHOWERS.
