Trooper finds suspected marijuana pipe in man's car

A state trooper reported finding suspected drug paraphernalia during a Willard traffic stop this weekend.

Trooper Korey Robinson, of the state Highway Patrol, stopped Derek S. Thomas, 29, of Sandusky, for failing to signal while making a right turn from Myrtle Avenue onto Spring Street. The traffic stop happened at 12:25 a.m. Sunday.

The trooper reported finding a glass smoking pipe and about 2 grams of suspected marijuana in a plastic bag wedged between the driver's seat and the center console.

Thomas was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended license.
