An accused heroin dealer is scheduled to go to trial May 6.

Attorneys in the case against Bellevue resident Sarah M. David, 29, of 1016 Northwest St., said there haven't been any plea negotiations, but a prosecutor indicated the state was open to discussions. Defense attorney John Allton said if the case goes to trial, it would last "the traditional two days."

David is charged with trafficking in heroin in connection with an April 16 incident. If convicted, she faces six to 18 months behind bars.

"I'm dealing with multiple jurisdictions," said Allton, who didn't elaborate.

David's suspected co-defendant, Daniel P. Ruffing, 28, of 3083 Ohio 4, Bellevue, will be sentenced May 15 for one amended count of trafficking in heroin. He faces six to 12 months behind bars.
