Three rural Norwalk individuals were arrested Wednesday morning on drug-related charges.

The Huron County drug task force, which consisted of deputies from the Huron County Sheriff's Office and a Monroeville police department officer, used a search warrant at 1220 E. Ohio 61.

"As a result of the execution of this search warrant, three individuals were arrested," Chief Deputy Ted Patrick said.

Arrested were Thomas A. Vermillion, 24, on possession of oxycodone, a fifth-degree felony; Felicia Eldridge, 20, also on possession of oxycodone; and Darrell Keegan, 23, on charges of possession of oxycodone, trafficking in oxycodone and tampering with evidence. All three suspects live at the Ohio 61 residence.

Trafficking in oxycodone is a fifth-degree felony, while tampering with evidence is a third-degree felony.

Keegan's tampering with evidence charge stems from him allegedly trying to destroy evidence, Detective Sgt. Josh Querin said.

The arrests took place at 7:15 a.m.

"Eldridge could also face a trafficking charge," Patrick added. "That information has been forwarded to the prosecutor's office for consideration."

The investigation was conducted by Querin, Deputy Troy Kimball, who is also a member of the Monroeville police department, and sheriff's Detective Eric Bardar.

"Keegan was a significant supplier of prescription pills in this area," Querin said. "It's good to get him off the street. We will continue to step up the effort to stop people from abusing and selling drugs in Huron County."
