A trooper with the state Highway Patrol's Norwalk post stopped two suspected drunk drivers in the Monroeville area recently.

Amy E. Brady, 48, of 4150 River Road, Monroeville, was stopped by Trooper William Howard at 9:27 p.m. Friday. The traffic stop happened at the intersection of River and Washington roads in Ridgefield Township.

Brady, who refused to submit to a breath test, was charged with driving under the influence and going left of center. Patrol records indicate she has two prior DUI convictions, from 1984 and 1996.

At 2:29 a.m. Sunday, Howard stopped Lori L. Shaw, 49, of 20 Surrey Court, Apt. 1A, Monroeville, on Washington Street near Ridge Street in the village.

Shaw's breath had a blood-alcohol content level of .197 percent, according to the trooper's report. The legal limit for drivers in Ohio is .08 percent. Shaw was charged with DUI and going left of center.
